MAX Carbon BMX rims, Light, Stiff and Strong, Tried and true design, they are run by some of the world’s best racers.
20″ 406 ETRTO Pro Elite / Pro MAX rims serial are available in two width(30mm, 32mm), four depth(25mm, 27mm, 30mm).
- 30mm wide: Standard design, the most popular and hot selling
- 32mm wide: Wider design gives a slightly larger volume to the tires, meaning you can run less air pressure for a better ride, while still maintaining rolling speed. 32mm wide rims also could apply to Freestyle BMX bikes.
- 25mm, 27mm depth: Low Profile Design for optimum stiffness and damping. Reduces the buffeting effect of crosswinds on outdoor tracks. Don’t be afraid of crosswinds at the track anymore!
The MAX 406 Pro carbon BMX rims accept 20×1.5, 20×1.6, 20×1.75, 20×1.8, 20×1.95, 20×2.0, and 20×2.125 tires.
All 20*1.75 MAX Rims are drilled for a Presta Valve and 36H spoke hole.
ERD is the spoke measurement size, find ERD data in the below form of different models.
The default carbon weave of the MAX BMX rim is the UD, which is the lightest and most popular. Typically, UD rims are in stock and can be shipped the next business day after ordering.
If you like special and attractive carbon weave, such as 3K, 3K Twill, 12K, 12K Twill and Marble carbon weave, customization is supported.
Usually the delivery time for customized weave is 25-29 days.

Max rims are constructed from the highest strength standard modulus fiber. 15% Toray T800 and 85% Toray T700. They promote low rotational weight, low aerodynamic drag, and high acceleration with maximum rigidity.
Max BMX hoops designed for up to 130kg rider weight limit, 130kgf spoke tension and 130psi/8.97bar tire pressures.
Rear rim with weaved Basalt braking surface can resist to 240 Degrees Celsius, but Carbon Brake pad is required for the best and safer braking performance.
Rims without a braking surface can be used as a front rim but also a rear rim when using a disc brake.
Spoke holes are drilled using advanced 4D drilling technology. This ensures an optimal spoke path which eliminates any extra stress on the spoke/nipple and makes the wheel greater strength and durability.
The tubeless version also available for Pro MAX rims, Fast in line and quick through the high speed turns with more puncture resistance. The Tubeless ready rim can be ridden with tubes or tubeless.

Verified BuyerI am riding 32mm wide MAX rims. That's great rims at a reasonable price. This is my first time for carbon rims on a bmx. They built up the same as other carbon rims I’ve had for mtb though. The finish on the outside was perfect. There were a couple spots on the inside tire bed with runs in the epoxy or clear, but it hasn’t effected the performance. I’ve been using for several months riding 3-4 times a week and still as good as when I built them up. They feel stiff and light and being a little wider than aluminum rims they give the tire a nice profile.
